Founders Day Celebration

Gamma Phi Beta is 143 years strong! It's time to celebrate our Sorority and sisterhood. Join us for a delicious brunch with your sisters as we celebrate. Don't forget to arrive early to browse the amazing auction! All proceeds benefit the leadership development and philanthropic efforts of our local collegiate and alumnae members.

Parking
There is on-street city parking available and a covered parking garage connected to The LUX. Street parking is free for 1 hour and 2 hour in areas and metered parking is also available in front of the building. The parking garage - on the corner of First (one way heading East) and Main (one way heading South) charges a flat $5 rate.

The Gamma Phi Beta Capital Campaign (Pride in the Past. Securing Our Future.) invites you to a Shocker Men’s Basketball Watch Party! Cheer on the Shockers as they play their final conference game vs. Missouri State. (PLEASE NOTE: This is an AWAY game.)       

Bring cash! We will be doing a 50/50 raffle where the winner takes half the pot and the chapter house will get the other half.

Sorry, no refunds due to weather. (This is a fundraiser, and we have fixed costs.)

First stop, the Hopping Gnome Brewing Company at Douglas and Hydraulic then off to Central Standard Brewing (156 S Greenwood St, Wichita, KS 67211). We will also visit the local food trucks that will be parked outside these fun hot-spots.

Yoga and Coffee @ the Wichita Art Museum

Free admission & no registration required. Let's get our stretch on! Join guest instructor Kelsea Wright from Limitless Yoga for a Saturday morning all-levels flow class for ages 16 and older. This class has something for everyone by not only providing a great workout but by helping you stretch out common problem areas in the body and by connecting your breath to your movements.

NOTE: This class begins prior to the museum's open hours and will be held in the Paula and Barry Downing Amphitheater and is weather permitting. In case of inclement weather, class will not be held. Please bring your own yoga mat or towel and water bottle. Get ready to bend and stretch in a wonderfully relaxing outdoor space. Start reserving the second Saturday of every month! The morning starts with a free hour long yoga class at 9 a.m. in the beautiful Art Gardens overlooking the river. Afterwards, the Twisted Java Truck will be serving hot and iced coffee, frappes and smoothies. Once you have cooled off enjoy FREE admission to the Museum galleries!

The ladies of the Gamma Phi Beta - Beta Chi chapter invite you to join them for their third annual Gamma Phive-K (5k) to benefit our international philanthropy, Girls on the Run. (To learn more about GOTR, visit their Philanthropy page.)

  • Ticket includes entry into the event, race bib, Gamma Phive-K T-shirt and entrance to the post-run Moonball Celebration.
    • $20/ticket through September 1
    • $25/ticket through September 29
    • $30/ticket on race day, September 30
  • Check-in and registration will begin at 6 p.m.
  • The race will start at 7 p.m. and will conclude between 9-10 p.m.
  • NOTE: We recommend participants arrive 50 minutes early so there is plenty of time for all to park and stretch before the race.

Each Tuesday night from June to September, the Garden mixes things up with live music, happy hour and horticulture. Girls on the Run 5K

Kick off Mother’s Day weekend by running/walking the GOTR Spring 5K! The GOTR Spring 5k is open to women of all ages and fitness levels. Dads are welcome to run as running buddies to girls who are currently in the 10-week after school program.

Pre-race entertainment starts at 8:15 a.m. and the 5K begins at 9:30.

Panhellenic Tea and Card Party

Join the Wichita Area Panhellenic for their annual Panhellenic Tea!

Cost: $14 in advance | $18 at the door

There are many opportunities to help out during the Women’s Panhellenic Tea!

  • Buy a ticket in advance for only $14. Bring your friends and attend. Even if you’re not a card player, join us for lunch! K-Lanes will have a fashion show during lunch and you can stroll the gardens before you have to go back to work.
  • Bake some cookies.
    • 5 dozen “tea cookies” (small dainty, in a non-returnable container)
    • 3 dozen bar cookies (uncut, lemon, date, cranberry, etc.)
  • Let us borrow your card tables. Lori will come get them and bring them back to you after the event.
  • Donate a silent auction item (gift or service item), such as a gift basket, a gift certificate for dinner, a jewelry piece, etc. We have lots of sisters who own businesses, sell jewelry or cosmetics.
  • Donate a door prize item. (This can be anything!)
  • Sell tickets to or encourage your friends, neighbors, coworkers, family members to attend. I have tickets and would be happy to bring tickets to you.
  • Help out the day of the event. I can use help for any time period between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. Or… you can stay with me all day! What could be more fun?

*Please note: Park in the Bank of America parking garage. On the day of our event you may park anywhere in the garage, including the reserved spaces.

The entrance ramp is on the west side of Broadway – about half a block north of Douglas Street. Take the walkway on the third level of the garage into the building and veer to the right. A guard will be on duty, and there will be signs to direct you. Take the elevator up to the 9th floor.

Bring a sister, your spouse and even your whole family for a day at the pumpkin patch for our October Social Sisters event! Take note that this event is on a Saturday :)

General Admission into the pumpkin patch is $5
General admission + corn maze is $8 for adults and $7 for children 12 and under
Children 2 and under are free! 
These admission prices do not include a pumpkin. 

Visit the Cox Farms website if you'd like to obtain more information. It appears that if you purchase a "combo" deal you will save some money, so take a look if you plan on doing the corn maze and purchasing a pumpkin!

Beta Chi's Gamma Phive-K

The ladies of the Beta Chi chapter of Gamma Phi Beta invite you to join them for their second annual Gamma Phive-K (5K) to benefit Girls on the Run!

  • The $15 ticket includes entry into the event, race bib, 5K finisher's medal, Gamma Phive-K water bottle and a hot/cold pack filled with vibrant pink gel beads.
  • Check-in and registration will begin at 7:30 a.m. and end at 8:45 a.m.
  • The race will start at 9 a.m. and will conclude between 11 a.m. and noon.

NOTE: They recommend participants arrive 50 minutes early so there is plenty of time for all to park and stretch before the race.
